The most fun you can have on two wheels
Roller Racing International (RRI) is a bicycle racing event where participants, or teams, compete against each other on stationary bikes in short cycling sprints (called roller races). We run indoor and outdoor events that are portable, customisable, and with an optional fundraising component. Importantly, anyone can take part in an RRI event (the races are short and with ultra-low resistance), and events can be staged almost anywhere. Feel like having a race? You can find an event here.
Below is a little more information about who we are and what we do. If you can't find what you are looking for below, or need more information about RRI, try our FAQs, or get in touch.
The concept
RRI is part rock concert, part video game, and all party.
The racing model is simple: participants race their opponent(s) over a short distance on stationary bicycles to determine a winner. Then they yell and scream as other people do the same.
But wait, there’s more. With an incredible interactive audio, visual & lighting system (and more often than not a well-stocked bar), the emphasis is on fun, fun, fun.
RRI is also a natural fundraising platform, using a mix of friendly rivalries and adrenalin to generate extraordinary results for great causes.
Our approach
We built RRI as a platform, including all the tools we thought we might need to produce RRI events anywhere in Australia (with more locations coming soon).
In addition to rollerracing.com (which includes integrated fundraising tools, result & leaderboard functionality) we’ve been hard at work building a proprietary iOS app, interactive audio-visual framework, promotional tools and much, much more.
We can customise almost any aspect of the platform to suit sporting, promotional or fundraising events, so the final result is always on-point. As such, it is a fully customisable turn-key event solution, ready to be tailored to any brand, market or audience.
The team
Roller Racing International is powered by The Spokes People (TSP).
TSP is a not-for-profit social enterprise from Sydney Australia, who curate cycling events in urban spaces to promote healthy, active and adventurous urban living.
